Bakers and cake lovers! I am once again stepping back into the kitchen after a prolonged break and I’m so excited to see you! I want to assure you, my devotion to baking and caking has never waned, but sometimes life just takes over, ammiright?

For me, this week has been all about Italy. I’m planning a family trip there in May so my days have been filled with “where to go, where to stay, what to do, how much can we fit in?” kinds of questions. Make no mistake, these are good questions to ask.

It may not be spring yet but I truly believe that if I bake enough spring-like foods maybe, just maybe, I can coax Mother Nature along a bit.
