Let me tell you something else about me. I make pancakes from scratch. And I bake them up, along with a strong pot of coffee, just about every Saturday morning.
Oh what a sad, sad day this is. All that talk, all that planning, all that WORK. And the result? Bubbling, buttery disaster.
I should have known it wouldn’t work out. Right from the beginning the dough wasn’t coming together as it should.
Maybe competition is the wrong word. I mean, can I really compete with Tim Horton’s? Their top notch donuts, chewy bagels, their quintessential Canadian-ness? A port in any road-trip storm?
I’m going to make a bold statement here, so I hope you’re sitting down:

For the last week or so I have been content to eat up either leftovers or the meagre contents of my pantry. How fiscally responsible of me! (pause for a pat on the back).
The first post of a new blog is always a bit awkward isn’t it? This is why I’m here, this is who I am, oh, I’ve never done this before, I hope you like it, blah blah blah…
I do hope you enjoy it, of course, but really, I just want to get straight into it and see how it goes.
