Well I made it through week 1 of my Summer Salad Series! It was a joy to try so many new recipes and to have so many meal options that didn’t require turning on the oven–perfect for our hot and humid summer.

These are a long forgotten fave from my time spent in Brisbane. Me and the girls from work would sneak out to the local Vietnamese restaurant for “make your own” spring roll plates.
On Tuesdays I will be exploring a new location to satisfy my wanderlust while my feet remain firmly planted on Canadian soil. I’m so excited! I hope you’ll join me in these new adventures.

What a great weekend! Bright, sunny skies, warm air, everyone outside to enjoy the blooming lilac trees…it feels like Spring has finally sprung! After a beautiful weekend like this, you would think I’d turn to something festive, like summer barbeque and cold beers for supper.
Wow! What. A. Week. Between the 365 Days of Dining Announcement (I’m a finalist!) and a new boss starting at work, by the time I get home at the end of the day, I am beat.
Last night, after an almost three month hiatus, our cooking club reconvened at my house for Dumping Fest. Last month, during Chinese New Year, I went out for a huge Chinese feast and thought, we HAVE to do dumplings for our next cooking club night.
