International Coffee Day took place last weekend, so in honour of such a special day, I had one (or three) cappuccinos. At least that’s what I call my frothy coffees that I make with my stove top espresso maker and my trusty Ikea milk frother. But wait.

Phew! What a week, hunh. I don’t know anyone – whether they’re here in Canada, in New Zealand, Australia or just south of us in the States – who isn’t reeling from the political results that took place this week.
I recently caught up with a dear, dear, friend. You know the one. You probably have one just like them. You think of them fondly and can’t for the life of you remember why you don’t stay in touch anymore.
Salted caramel brioche buns, chocolate mug cake, mint chocolate slice, blender chocolate mousse…that’s all in one week folks. That’s right, winter’s here, and I’m on a kitchen rampage.
At home in Toronto I spent countless blissful alone hours knee-deep in dough, pastry and melted chocolate, clearing my mind and expressing myself (and expanding my waistline?) through food.
