Whole Wheat Pancakes

Ingredients
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (or ¾ C if you prefer thinner cakes)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (using butter is especially decadent, and gives the pancakes a crispier outer texture, yum).
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
Instructions
  1. Combine dry ingredients.
  2. Add in wet ingredients and whisk together until just combined, leaving smaller lumps to cook out. For best results, set aside batter for 10 minutes or so before cooking.
  3. Fry in butter over med-low heat.  Once the bubbles subside, it's time to flip.
