Baked cinnamon donut babies! In just 20 minutes you can have the warmest, lightest, cakiest, cinnamon crunchiest treats you could ever imagine. Think Tiny Tom donuts from the fair, but without that greasy taste and the never-ending lineup.
And like Tiny Toms, you’ll want to eat Every. Single. One.

For me, this week has been all about Italy. I’m planning a family trip there in May so my days have been filled with “where to go, where to stay, what to do, how much can we fit in?” kinds of questions. Make no mistake, these are good questions to ask.
I recently caught up with a dear, dear, friend. You know the one. You probably have one just like them. You think of them fondly and can’t for the life of you remember why you don’t stay in touch anymore.
At home in Toronto I spent countless blissful alone hours knee-deep in dough, pastry and melted chocolate, clearing my mind and expressing myself (and expanding my waistline?) through food.
Over the last year or so I have put the blog on the shelf for many reasons–for friend-making, for exploring, for love–but absolutely not for anything to do with my feelings about food.
In fact, some of my most treasured new friends love and respect food just as much as I do.
It’s time to retrain my taste buds away from sweet. I’ve realized it’s all that I taste most of the time.
I like chocolate, I like cake, milk (it’s sweet!) and pasta and fruit and bread and…all the foods I eat these days fall into the sweet category.
My three favourite words.
I can tell it’s happening when I feel hungry 1 hour after a delicious, satisfying meal.
I can tell when I am filled to the gills but am still aching for dessert.
I know even when I convince myself I don’t know what’s wrong.
I can feel it in my gut.
